The OSCARS Olympiads is Africa’s leading platform for fostering innovation and entrepreneurship among students. With its successful inaugural edition in Nairobi, Kenya, in 2023, which brought together 54 teams from 24 countries, the Olympiads aim to inspire the next generation of job creators and innovators.
The 2025 edition, hosted in Cotonou, Benin, welcomed 150 student teams from 40 African nations, supported by our lead partners UNDP, GIZ and an expanding network of collaborators. Together, we built a brighter future by empowering youth with the skills, resources, and opportunities to transform ideas into impactful ventures.
OSCARS Olympiads proudly brought together visionary young innovators from across the continent — with 48 African nations represented in this landmark edition.
